Which mirror did you specify for the network install?

Well, last updates there are from january 9, maybe it's not really up to date? Can you try directly with that or another mirror, or use another mirror to sync from? ftp.mandrivauser.de f.ex. syncs every two hours the whole Mageia tree.

It doesn't work for me either, I switched to VT1 and it seems that it freezes after downloading the last .hdlist file (ftp://ftp.mandrivauser.de/mirrors/Magei ... .hdlist.cz)

Interestingly, while there is some disk activity, nothing seems to happen - I left it alone for around 30min and it's still stuck at "Searching for available packages"

Edit: Corrected URL

Had the same problem with a net install from ftp.mandrivauser.de and distrib-coffee. Both mirrors are syncing from different sources, so at least one of them should be ok (presumable both). Net-Install worked earlier on the same machine so there must be something in the updates (between original release and today) which causes this error.

Still doesn't work even after the latest mirror sync - I filed Bug #4178 for this issue. I hope someone would take a look at this (I could've sworn it worked before, though - I'm not sure whether this is a problem with the installer or the latest updates)
