Installed mageia 5 successfully. Some problems. Cannot resize desktop icons. They are stuck at 64. I would prefer 16. Checked under google and tried some recommened fixes but no luck. Firefox has some kind of a motif style. How do I change that? Installed xfce but I cannot select it when I logon. How do I add it to the logon list? Thanks for your help.

As a general hint and golden rule: Please only one problem per thread ;)

What desktop environment do you use currently?

For KDE right-click on emtpy space one desktop background => at the bottom choose "settings for folder view" (or "settings for standard desktop" depending what you use currently)
and there click on icons on the left side and then change the size with the slider and click apply.

Which package you installed? If you installed one of these, the login option will not appear:
- xfce4-taskmanager-1.1.0-1.mga5.x86_64
- xfdesktop-4.12.0-1.mga5.x86_64

Try to install one of these packages that Xfce4 option will appear on the login option:
- task-xfce-4.12-1.mga5.noarch.rpm
- task-xfce-minimal-4.12-1.mga5.noarc

Thanks for your assistance in this matter. I had installed xfce via graphical desktops. I then installed via the task and the problem was solved. I had changed the icon size through the appearance. I am now using xfce. Thanks.
