Hi There Everyone,

Well very new to this forum and the linux platform so hello to everyone from David in Australia, I had some issues after I installed Mageia so I had to reinstall windows.

I reinstalled windows, Mageia would not boot so I tried reinstalling bootloader, it could not find the bootloader.

I tried to reinstall Mageia and no joy, says it could not boot and asks me to press any key to reboot and then boots to windows.

How do I do the following:

Uninstall the mageia OS and get my hard drive space back (Even if it cannot reinstall bootloader),
How do I get my normal boot loader back ?
How do I not loose all my Data on my drives ?

Hopefully someone may be able to answer the question.

Cheers
Dave

Hello Dave,

Sorry to hear you had problems with your Mageia,

1/ just format /delete the drive spaces you installed Mageia onto from within windows and if required create a new partition in the empty drive space.
2/ from the Mageia boot disc, select rescue option and choose " reinstall windows bootloader ", unless you have already tried this and it failed, or you installed from a Mageia Live disc. if so, please advise.
3/ If you have data on the Mageia system that you want to save, do not format / delete the drive spaces, but advise here first.
any data you have on your windows partitions is " safe " as you are only deleting your Mageia system.
