I dont want to fill the forum with newcomer questions, I have a couple of quick ones, hope isadora or someone can lead me to the right - already existing I guess - topic (tried search function to no avail)
1 - is it normal that 31 is the latest Firefox in the software center?
2 - tried to install Qupzilla with "urpmi qupzilla" but I got this: bash: urpmi: command not found
thank you!

PS: I was trying to install flash followinf the instructions here viewtopic.php?f=36&t=880 but once again urpmi doesn't seem to work

Hello talgarik and welcome

newcomer questions are welcome.
it is best make a new post in the appropriate forum - in this case for both would be basic support: viewforum.php?f=7.
have a read here about urpmi as well : viewtopic.php?f=36&t=4231
tip: urpmi has to be run as root.
do have a look at Magiea Welcome as it is a great resource, you can even install flash from there.

regards

great resource indeed!
The first impression is great and Mageia seems to work smoothly on my system, just installed Vivaldi and it runs much smoother here than on Kubuntu.

See the previous hint:

So just switch to root via
Code: Select all
su -
then enter your root password and you can run urpmi.
FWIW, if you come from *buntu, you can also configure sudo, as that's not configured by default: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Configuring_sudo
