[solved] Flash player issue

Postby nw1456 » Dec 13th, '14, 12:59

Hi
Recently updated flash to 11.2.202.425-1 (Mageia 4). I'm now getting warnings that this version is vulnerable and should be updated. Tried going lower, just the same reinstalled 11.2.202.425-1, still the same.

I'm running another machine with 5 Beta 1, on it. That has flash 11.2.202.425-1 running with no issues!

Any ideas what's up with that?

Thanks

As you miss the information what browser you're using, assuming Firefox. This is a problem with firefox's blocklists, see also

And next time please post support-type questions in one of the support subforums, thanks. Moved it now.

You assume correctly. I didn't think it was the browser as I hadn't updated that, only the flash plugin, my bad.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I'm not really sure if there's anything I can do to solve the issue, looks like I'll have to wait for Mozilla to get it sorted. Unless I missed something in the above link?

OK, what I've done is to install the distro version of Firefox and that works properly. Had to downgrade some extensions. I stopped using the distro version some time ago because I was having problems with it. Rock and a hard place!
