Hello,

I have the version 24 of firefox istalled by mageia.

Each time I connect to hotmail, I got remind that this version is outdated and that I must update it to get all function from hotmail.

Do you know if that will be possible ?
Firefox is very stable, and I don't think it require big changes on other lib.

What do you think ?

Mageia provides the Extended Support Release of Firefox - see https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3806 for background. If you really want/need the latest version, you can always download and install the package from the Mozilla website.

FWIW, an update candidate for the next Firefox ESR release, 31.x, is already available via updates_testing repository, and will probably be validated and pushed as an update to all Mageia 3 and 4 users once 31.2.0 has been released.

Thank you,

It's very nice.

A question, wouldn't it be possible to propose both version of firefox, the last stable and the last ESR ?

It may be an issue with the tester or the packager(or both)

We have that for cauldron, where firefox-beta is available in parallel, but for stable releases that doesn't make sense.
If you want the latest version, which also includes automatic updates directly from Mozilla, get their tarball and extract it to your /home folder
(or maybe in /opt for a system-wide install).
