For one, urpmi is installed by default. You may want to read our software management MAQeia for more information on software and package management.
If you want to install an application, best use software management for that: http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/4/en/content/ ... ement.html

For your specific question about directly installing from MADB, what browser do you use and what desktop environment do you use?
Also please show the output of the following commands as normal user:

Code: Select all
xdg-mime query default application/x-urpmi
xdg-open keepassx-0.4.3-6.mga4.i586.rpm.urpmi

(you should run latter in the directory where you downloaded the keepassx file from madb, it should prompt to run gurpmi which will ask you if you want to install keepassx)

You ran that as root, didn't you? It's intended to be run as normal user.
In case you did run it as normal user, your users dbus session is not present/broken, and in that case you have more problems than not being able to install software.

If you ran it as normal user, please provide the output of the following commands as normal user:
Code: Select all
echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS
ps faux | grep dbus

Also, you can install software via MCC as pointed out above - did you try that?

Sorry, but you still didn't answer previous questions:

Also, for your screenshots, on the third one you should get a dialog asking to enter the root password for authentication.
As I'm not into japanese or chinese or whatever that is, I can't say what it says, but it looks different to what you should get.

Please also as root show the output of the following commands:

Code: Select all
urpmq --list-media active --list-url
urpmq --sources null
urpmi keepassx
