[SOLVED] No sound in Kaffeine with .mp4

Postby zugunder » Jul 24th, '11, 00:31

Mageia 1 x86_64
There is no sound in Kaffeine only when playing .mp4 video files. Sound is OK when the same clip is played in KMPlayer.
I thought it may be due to absence of .AAC plugin for xine (I suppose Kaffeine is a xine-based player, is it correct?), but I did not find any xine-aac plugins in the standard repos.

I have installed:
lib64xine1
phonon-xine
xine-plugins

all - 64bit, and a couple more, probably not important.
As far as I remember, I watched the same videos with Kaffeine in Mandriva 2010.2, so it should not be a global problem of sound support.

Could anyone help me with this issue?

Thank you.

P.S. I am sorry, I was looking for the wrong package name - is should have been xine-faad. Installed, everything works.
