[Solved] Mageia freezes after hibernate

Postby schroedingerscat » Aug 14th, '14, 19:02

Hello everybody!

I've got a little problem for a week or so. I think the problem began after installing some updates, including a new kernel, glibc and other stuff. When I close my laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad T430, my sister has the same problem on a Dell Inspiron 1545), the system hibernates. But when I open it, there is the KDE screensaver and the mouse icon, but the system is frozen: no reaction to keyboard or mouse input. I can't even change to a terminal using Ctrl+F2 (or all the other F keys). My desktop computer has no problems... I guess there's a broken driver? I would be glad if I could go to lunch without shutting down the computer. :)

Thanks for your answers

Do they both use the same graphics driver?

I have no idea what the problem was. However, after some updates two weeks ago, everything works as expected. Thank you! :)
