[DONE] Cannot reach Mageia Install

Hello, I am trying trying to install Mageia 64 bit DVD on my UEFI and Optimus(I don't know if this is important though) laptop. As most of the distros I tried on this laptop(only ubuntu and derivates worked out of box) after choosing 1st option on gummiboot system hangs. I stuck on black screen and then DVD drive stops working. I tried to boot DVD on CSM mode and UEFI mode but still same. Thanks for the answers.

Thanks for answer but I already read there and I can't even pass booting so I can't access installer too.

uefi off and csm on in your bios - correct?
Secure boot is " off "
Unit should just boot to dvd
Check your dvd in another unit - need to check if the dvd is ok as you maybe have a bad burn / download.

There is no option to turn off Uefi but there is Csm I turned it off. And Secure Boot was disabled by default. It does boot but Can't go further. I tried my Dvd on virtualbox and another laptop that has no UEFI, I was succesful

you have tried CSM both on and off?

checked / changed your boot order to dvd first?

dvd should boot before gummiboot is loaded.

Thanks again, yes I checked boot order and settings are true as I said gummiboot loads too but after choosing 1st option it stuck on black screen. Also I googled my problem but there was no solid solution for this. Except legacy boot option. In my case there is no Legacy boot option in my bios.

Enabling CSM is the same as legacy boot.

okay thanks for informing me. İ'll try copying dvd to usb will that work?

You have to write the image which you burned to DVD directly to usb stick using dd or something similar. Check https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Installation ... h_drive.3F

I tried it, didn't worked.Also downloaded Live DVD it stuck on a black screen(after plymouth) and there was "[OK]" bottom right. I reinstalled Arch linux. Thanks for your time.
