maps.google.com won´t load [ not solved]

Mageia3. This is recent, Google map hangs. It shows the map of the country but I get a yellow rectangle sauing ´loading´ that hangs forever. I tried it with Firefox, Qupzilla and Konqueror. Same thing

Google have recently made the new maps interface the default, which is probably what has caused it to stop working for you. In case it is an incompatibly with one of the extensions/plug-ins you have installed, try restarting Firefox in safe mode (in the "Help" drop-down menu, select "Restart with add-ons disabled"). If this doesn't help, does the old maps interface (https://www.google.com/maps?output=classic&dg=opt) still work?

Thanks but safe mode doesn´t help and the old interface either.
It isn´t just a Firefox problem since Konq and Qupzilla cannot load it either. I downloaded Chromium and there I can have the maps but when I type the names of towns in the bar, top left, I cannot see what I type. It does respond to a degree but it is difficult to handle for I don´t know what is written since I cannot see anything. Most weird

Beats me! If nobody comes up with a better suggestion, you could try using a Mageia 4 Live DVD, to see if newer software fixes the problem.

Well, this morning it works. Also the little squares on the top right of Firefox have come back and all the text in the squares of gmail. But I shall keep this post open for it is not the first time it comes back . This last time it was the first time it went off for 3-4 days. It seems to work or not without my changing any settings.

Why don't you simply open a support ticket with Google? Check the last bullet "Fix a problem" under https://support.google.com/maps/

I will now I can access it. Yesterday I couldn´t!!! Their website is useful only when you have access to google, like now for me and now I have no problem.
I just hope I go on without problem but not knowing what caused it is frustrating

I have also asked my ISP if it could come from them

today it doesn´t work. Yesterday all went well, today Google maps, etc won´t load. I asked the ISP they say no problem on their side.
If anyone has an idea? thanks
