Windows 8 Dual Boot

Are there any known issues with a dual boot & windows 8? I had Mageia4 installed on a dual boot (Windows 7 & Mageia4) machine. I installed Windows 8 on sda/,overwriting the Windows 7 partition, then re-installed Mageia on the same sdb/ partions, but now I get the grub menu, select Mageia, and it kicks out to the maintenance mode.

I tried re-installing again, making sure to re-format the root partition, but no luck.

I installed Mageia on a different drive (sdc), and still cannot get it to boot. From what little I can tell in the boot process, it seems to be having difficulty mounting the drives. When I boot to Windows 8, it mounts OK and so do the other NTFS partitions.

Yes, see this thread.

An alternative solution (if you want to have Windows fast startup enabled) is to mount the NTFS partitions as read only (select "expert mode" in diskdrake to do this).
