Having filled them, they seem immovable and unchangeable. How do I replace the old icon, perhaps of lesser importance tham a recent one, whith a new one. And also how do I add another place in the same area, to add to the default four.
I put this on your other post :
to move or remove the icon from the system tray or task-bar because you no longer need it there or because it is in the wrong place
right click the mouse on the icon, choose " panel options ", then " choose panel settings "
If you then place the mouse pointer over the icon, a 4 way arrow appears and also a small box that has : " spanner ", icon and "x "
The 4 way arrow will move the icon left / right along the task-bar / system tray, or to the desktop. the spanner adjusts setting for permissions etc, and "x " will delete the icon.
I dont kow that you can increase the default 4, but you could increase the # of virtual desktops - up to 20 if that is a viable option [ system settings => workspace behaviour ]
