I want to install very new version of LibreOffice (ver 4.2 - 64bit) avaliable on Cauldron. How can I do it without installing whole Cauldron repo?

You obtain and compile the Libre Office source yourself.

It is possible that once the problems preventing the provision of backports have been solved, then a backport of libreoffice may be made available. If you don't want to wait, you can try building your own backport:
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/How_to_do_your_own_backports

Alternatively, there are generic rpm's available from libreoffice:
http://www.libreoffice.org/
I have not seen any reports as to the usability of those on Mageia.

They are used by many users, shouldn't be a problem. One should only pay attention to also install the menu integration, otherwise you'll miss start menu entries :)

If you don't want to upgrade/break half of your system to cauldron, nope.

But you can easily download all the libreoffice packages from https://www.libreoffice.org/ to your own ftp, unpack them, then run genhdlist2 upon them - voila, your own repo.
