Dropbox Daemon Isn't Running Kfilebox

and I have some problems.
1.
in the 'configuring dropbox' section it says you enter the home folder on the general tab - I can only see that on the account tab and when I enter the folder i've created, it is not remembered if I restart my system.
2.
also in the misc tab there is no way to change the browser or fie manager.
3.
the dropbox daemon downloaded when i first started kfilebox but when i click on the icon there is section saying 'dropbox daemon is not running' and it is greyout.
i've tried clicking start dropbox and it tries to start but then stops straight away.
4.
i've also tried starting the dropboxd shell from the konsole, but it says no such file or directory (even though it is clearly there!)
What I can try next?

Just recently installed mageia and enjoying it so far, apart from this problem.
