Hi everyone.....

this is a simple one that has never been a prob in the past through multiple linuxes, Mandriva, Mageia 3 etc

I just installed Mageia4 on a sony vaoi laptop (dual with windows) - all is smooth, ati hardware graphics propreietary drivers going well so my cpu is now quiet and not thrashing the onboard graphucs

but I can´t seem to get my damn keyboard to get apostrophe, carrets etc. ´ ¨ ^ with a single tap.

So if I use e.g. awk and double tap for ´{
it is no good and there is a hidden character there!

I tried going to the keyboard layout and changing US, US international etc and it is alway locked at US international alternative in the ´task bar´
It seems to change then flash back, rebooting after has no effect.

any solution? itś kinda annoying as I have Mageia 3 running fine on my other main computer.

simple
us keyboard/105 key combination.

should have seen this!
