Initial download and install was Mageia 3 Kde-4.xx ..When available upgraded to Mageia 4..Now I want to run task-gnome so I installed same

When I try to use gnome-software It will not open under all or installed package list
The app shows a group of dots going around in a circle
Waited in access of 8 minutes no change..Also tried numerous time

Cannot get anyone to help on IRC

And now no help in forum

Where shall I go to get help???????

Gnome-software won't work yet in mageia it needs more work so you need to use rpmdrake.

As Mageia is listed number 4 on distrowatch I felt the response for help was slow

Four days on Irc and over one on the forums

1 day in forums is pretty much the average, so where's your point? Feel free to help here so that other people get help faster.

For IRC, depending on how you asked the question and in which channel at what time, thats also pretty normal.
If nobody understands your question, or nobody knows the answer, probably nobody will respond.

Many of us are working full time with own jobs and we do have limited time to answer so quickly to all posts here.Second thing is look how many post coming every day to this forum i can say list is huge so you can't expect every post getting answer in one minutes.

Try uninstalling and then re install it hope that will help you,Basically some kind of errors causes it or the file can be corrupted so for keeping yourself away from time wastage you can see how it can work for you.

Remove and reinstall is not option to fix it,it still be broken and you cannot install any packages with gnome-software yet read that bugreport.

I have had the same problem a while back,I tried deleting it and then installed it back and that worked for me,Basically sometimes files gets corrupt during the installation of just after that so necessary to be fixed.
