To enter text edition nano vim or emacs or testing disk chkrootkit, rkhunter .. etc, it s important sometimes to see these functions as root, but here with the su command, it is impossible for me to enter yet root is selected from the groups.

someone has there a solution, thank you

Supposing that you are using Mageia Linux; have you played with sudoers and/or the root account (passwd -l, usermod...etc)?

can you log in as root in a terminal trying with CTRL+ALT+F2 for instance?

How are you trying to su?

Thanks
