[SOLVED] Skype and Steam symlinks are gone

Hi fellow Mageia users,
I'm fairly a newbie to Mageia and the Linux world in general. I remember updating my "Mageia 4 x86_64" a day or two and when I booted my computer today, I noticed that my Skype and Steam symlinks are gone. Running the commands below gave me a hint that latest Mageia update broke libraries that Steam and Skype uses so my question is, How will I fix this problem? Another follow-up question: if Mageia releases another update that fixes this problem, does it fix it automatically or do I need to run certain commands in terminal to fix it completely? I may sound Window-esque user because I grew up in the Windows world so my apologies for my ignorance.
Here's what I've done so far.
