I installed Compiz on the Cinnamon desktop and changed the Graphics settings in MCC to use Compiz fusion.
I made changes in CompizConfig Settings Manager But the effects don't seem to work. Is there anything else I have
to do to make it work.

No it's not working because cinnamon is incompatible with compiz,they are not going to make it compatible with cinnamon.
