CPU frequency throttling

Hello mages,

set up Mageia on an quite old Acer Convertible-Notebook and it runs very well so far. There are several things I have to fix now.

First: Is there a way to manually throttle the CPU (my fan is annoying)? Would prefer something with a GUI.

PS: Ah, my system is an Acer Travelmate C202 with an 1,7GHz Pentium-M, 2GB Ram and a GeForce 6200go GPU.
