Umm, a wee bit more info is also VERY HELPFUL here.
Such as...
Is it a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Mageia?
By "upgrade", does that mean upgraded from say Mageia 3? or was this actually an UPDATE to Mageia 4.
If UPDATE, then since I check for and do UPDATES to Mageia 4 every time I go into it, it may be just you. Possibly something with system, maybe th e update "choked" at some point. I have had that happen in past with a different distro of Linux. NOT fun.
So, you are not "ignored". I too was like you back aways. But then I realized...the people on these forums do actually HAVE LIVES OF THEIR OWN. You know, real-world jobs, family responsibilities, etc. So, I now know to be wee bit patient for replies.
I myself check the forums every chance I get, except when I have an "active" post, then I do check more frequently.

So, please, provided as much USEFUL info as possible, and it may assist someone in actually helping you.

Thanks.

NOTE to MODS: Sorry, if seem to have "overstepped", but, well.... 8-)

please add to cyber-dragon -14 post

video card type
ram
mobo
was your upgrade terminated abruptly part way through?
usually the more you information you give the better the response.

you could try to reinstall your system using your install media [ cd, dvd or usb ] and at the prompt upgrade Mageia 4 instead of a complete new install.
it should only take a few minutes. reboot and see if your system is ok. then do a full update and reboot. if the system reboots successfully , enjoy Mageia and carry on.

if that reboot was unsuccessfull reinstall again and do a partial update. select half of the files or choose alphabet letter file groups. take a note of all the file names. after update completes, reboot. if the system reboots successfully, update the remaining files in the same arrangement and repeat.
when the system does not reboot successfully you now know that 1 of the update files of that batch is causes YOUR system a problem.
unfortunately this probably means that you are going to have to spend some time going through the preceeding steps several times to isolate the file.
when you have isolated the file, please file a bug report.

anything you have downloaded or installed should still be accessable.

A search of Mageia's bugzilla https://bugs.mageia.org/ for that bug/error gives three hits, all for Mageia2 and all unresolved.

There was also a post a few days ago on this that went unanswered.

I'm running Cauldron on three machines one of which has been hit by this but I have not had time to debug it.

The error usually indicates issues with selecting or loading the correct video driver. See e.g. https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_2_Err ... rd_drivers for workarounds. But as indicated by Ben, you should at least provide the information which graphics chip you have.
