Unwanted password save selection MCC startscreen

Hello all,

As a long time user of Mageia I was looking at switching to Mageia 4. Whilst testing it I found out that it was now possible to save the root password when logging into MCC. A very nice feature for a lot of people but I am of the opinion that MCC should stay protected with the root password. This is still possible, but it does mean that I need to un-select the save password box every time. Is there a way to change the behavior of the screen so that the save password box is not selected?

As a second point I wonder why it was decided to have the save password box selected by default. When I think about it users of the function only need to check the box once when it is not selected automatically whilst when it is the other way around users who do not want to save their password need to uncheck the box every time. But maybe I am missing an important point.

It only remembers the password for a short time, not for the complete session. Check viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6838

Thanks for the quick respons. I somehow missed the first topic you mentioned when searching the forum. My apologies for opening this topic.

I wil go and research polkit a bit more to see what is possible.
