[SOLVED] mageia 3 updates fail.

Postby mwpotter » Mar 1st, '14, 07:05

When I run the the system update I get the following message:

Sorry, the following packages cannot be selected:

- libavcodec54-1.1.8-1.mga3.tainted.i586 (due to unsatisfied libvo-aacenc.so.0)
- libmesagl1-9.1.7-1.1.mga3.tainted.i586 (due to unsatisfied libtxc-dxtn)

How do I resolve these problems?

Cheers,

Martin Potter.

Please show the output of
Code: Select all
urpmq --list-media active

Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!

Did you enable backports repos on purpose? Best disable them again via
Code: Select all
urpmi.update --ignore "Backports"

You're also missing Tainted 32bit Release repo.

What exactly solved the problem? Adding the missing repo, or disabling backports repos?
Please be more explicit with answers, this will help others with the same issue ;)
