ETQW and Quake reset desktop icons

Hi

Every time i play ETQW and Quake, reset desktop icons occurs. I have locked them in place but still after i quit the game they are neatly in the top left of my screen. Totem also gets killed. It's a bit of a pain replacing my desktop icons where i want them each time.

Like many others (there were 18 views, so far) I'm interested in your post, but I can't help you any more with the replaced icons than the others could.

I'm just curious to know where you got those games from. We do have Quake 2, but we don't have ETQW.

What you said about totem being killed, is that issue still there?

The moving icons has been around since the Mandrake days. A lot of games run at a 640 X 480 screen resolution and even though the icons are locked they get moved to fit and don't return to their origanal positions when the game ends and resolution returns to normal.
