[SOLVED] How Do You Resize Widget in KDE 4.11 Panel

I compiled Homerun Kicker found here: http://blogs.kde.org/2014/01/29/homerun-120

If you haven't see it you need to, it's awesome. I also seen a Mageia 4 developer or packager in the comments saying it was too late for Mageia 4 final but it'll be added.

The problem is that it is about 4 inches wide and I can't get it in a corner. Other widgets do this too and I can't find how to narrow the space they occupy.

I'm trying to resize it so I can use it in place of the default menu.

Put control panel in configuration mode, and click the wrench icon that appears on mouseover on that applet. Does it offer that option?
Otherwise you probably have to fiddle it out manually in ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc
I've partly described the configuration format in viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6862

Found it Dok,

It is the icon size setting. The option is located in System Settings > Application Appearance > Icons > Advanced > Panel

The icon size for the Panel is set to 256! Change it to 32 and apply. I also had to remove/replace the Widget but a

logout/login may have done it.

Weird, it's also set to 256 here ... Don't remember touching that anytime.

EDIT: Here's he culprit:
[doktor5000@Mageia3 ~]$ grep -B1 -nRi '256' /var/lib/mageia/kde4-profiles
/var/lib/mageia/kde4-profiles/common/share/config/kdeglobals-27-[PanelIcons]
/var/lib/mageia/kde4-profiles/common/share/config/kdeglobals:28:Size=256

Will add that info to the other thread.

Great Dok, I'm glad I could help someone out. You sure are good at locating that stuff though. I'm certain I didn't change that either because I done a new install of M4. On the old one, who knows?

It was another Widget ( Folder v1.0) I was trying to use the other day and it was wide also, so I forgot about it. Today when I found Homerun Kicker I dug until I found it.

I don't think 256 is a good default size.

I have came across this a long time ago and forgot about that setting.
