[SOLVED]weather and calendar gadgets

Postby djmarian » Feb 3rd, '14, 15:35

Hi,

My wife asked me where are the weather and calendar gadgets... so I looked for google gadgets but I have to build them.
Is there another rpm to do it more easily?

Thank you,
Dan.

The package seems to have been dropped when Mageia 2 was released: https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_2_Rel ... le-gadgets

Also please always post question in the basic support subforum.

You can still try to rebuild the Mageia 1 version of google gadgets if you want to use such unmaintained apps.
E.g. http://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/ ... a1.src.rpm
But aren't there enough other weather and calendar applets?

Please mark the thread accordingly by editing the topic of the first post and prefix it by [DONE], thanks.

This was the point "Is there another rpm".
I did not get used to XFCE yet so I did not find my target.

Would you mind providing some details where and how you found them, for others that may have a similar problem?
