Kmenu label (Distroname and/or KDE version) howto

Postby saivinoba » Dec 18th, '13, 20:34

Hi,
I like the way Mageia (and previously Mandriva) arrange the kmenu. I arrange the items likewise in most of the KDE desktops I use but have not been able to figure out how to put label for the menu. Mageia has its name and KDE version on top of the menu (Previously KDE menu had KDE version to the left with sideways letters). I would like to put custom label on other KDE desktops as well.

Searching google only brings hits on kmenuedit. I am ok with menu editing itself. All I want is to put label to it.

Can anybody help.

Thanks,
Sai

I don't know what you mean when you say "I would like to put custom label on other KDE desktops as well".

Do you mean you want a banner up/down the left side of the menu like when you right click on the desktop?
