[SOLVED] Copy the list of Mageia KDE 4.10 software

Postby stephijos » Dec 12th, '13, 02:04

Hello,

I wanted to copy the list of Mageia KDE 4.10 software how presented from the KDE icon in categories, to put it in a OOo Writer file.

I say software and not packages, because with urpmi we can list all packages.

I wanted to list all software to describe them.

And I wanted to do the same with Mandriva Powerpack 2010.0 KDE 4.3 to find them again in Mageia 3.

Thank you in advance.

If you have used the KDE menu editor (kmenuedit) once and saved the menu, it will save/cache the menu structure here:
Code: Select all
~/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu

That's /home/username/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu
/home/username/.config is a hidden folder, in KDE you need to press Alt+. to show hidden files (or use the menu to show them).

What part do you need more precise?

applitocations-kmenuedit.menu have appeared.

But how you edit this file keeping the tree structure to insert it in OOo 4.0.1, and with the description of all software.

Thanks for helps.

That's probably your homework. I can only tell you where to find it, you need to parse and process that yourself.
