firefox 24 alternatives

For any of you with more conservative attitudes to shiny new changes,

try out iceape, its in the repos for mageia.

with a bit of tweaking with themes and plugins it can be made to look and work like firefox did a few years ago.

and tabs can be disabled completly unlike firefox 24, which the developers @ mozilla INSIST you MUST use.

astounded to see that as soon as ive updated the system task-obsolete has just removed iceape, without such as a warning or error.

perhaps it would have been more polite to leave it to the user to decide on weather to use it or not.

That's very odd - a new version of iceape has just been validated and should be available soon as an official update:
