Hi,
I have two identical installations of Mageia 3, at home and at work. At home, when I hover my mouse over the grouped application icons in the taskbar, the beautiful, detailed application window thumbnails appear, and I can chose between them. It is very much like Windows 7.
However, since some time this feature stopped working in my computer at work. Hovering over the taskbar icons shows only vertical lists of the grouped application icons, not thumbnails.
Please, can anybody help me? Here is some info about my system:

Seems desktop effects are not enabled or graphics driver doesn't support them anymore. Can you check in systemsettings -> desktop effects if they are enabled, maybe turn off and on again, does that help?
And which graphics cards are you using?

You are absolutely right. "Enable desktop effects at startup" was unchecked.
