Wi-fi drivers

Can someone point me to the correct thread explaining how to get the drivers for my laptop installation of Mageia3 Gnome to connect to my Cisco Linksys wireless N900 router.

I have been trying for more than three days: reading help, searching the forum, searching for drivers...I could not even get it to connect using a cable connection between the router and laptop to search out the drivers. I would even be willing to buy another CD version of Mageia if assured it contained the necessary wi-fi drivers.

If I wasn't sure Mageia is the Linux distribution I could really love I would just give up and go w/Mint and ultimately only use it infrequently as I have done w/Ubuntu and Fedora in the past.

I'm pretty good at following instructions so if anyone can help I will be most grateful.
thx, d

Hello,
Did you add the nonfree and tainted repositories?
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Software_man ... nd_updates
Did you try with a static IP?
Did you have a look to the firewall ? IPV6 settings ? Do you have enough IP addresses available in the router? Does your router have a filter for MAC addresses ?
Did you try the "ping" command towards the router ?
Some more help on the Mageia wiki:
