I recently performed a clean install of Mageia 3 to see if I could eliminate some issues with a freezing desktop. Well, now I can't seem to recall how I managed to get my multiple monitors setup last time. Currently, under display and monitor settings (KDE), I have no options for multiple monitors, even if I plug in a second monitor. Also, I can manage to extend the desktop to a second monitor, but it stretches me entire desktop instead of just leaving my taskbar on the main monitor and extending a second desktop from there. I don't know if I explained that clearly. I used to be able to have the taskbar on one monitor only, now it always stretches across both. Also, if I move my cursor off the right side of the desktop, it will disappear and not reappear again until I have moved it at least half way across the screen to the left, then it will re-appear somewhere in the middle of the desktop. Very strange. It's also interesting that I can move it off the dekstop at all, even when there is no additional monitor connected (and the external monitor is disabled in the display and monitor dettings). I'm using a Dell XPS L502X with an Nvidia hybrid graphics chip. I have the drivers installed for both the intel and Nvidia chips. Oh, one more thing, if I click on "Gamma" on the display and monitor settings, I get logged out, every time. Thanks.
