Hi everyone,

Has anybody tried to install Mageia on the latest Samsung Chromebook ?
These netbooks are delivered with ChromeOS, I wonder if I could replace it with Mageia (or another Linux distro...)

Thansk !

Vincent,

sorry about late reply: Why replace chromeOS when you can easily run a linux distro at the same time :)

Check out a project called crouton. I have a samsung s3 ARM chromebook, running the XFCE version of ubuntu, and it works really, really well.

And then I can hot key it straight back to chromeOS, without rebooting.

I'm looking into whats involved in rolling Mageia into crouton, the major stumbling block is that there is no current ARM port of Mageia.

Check my thread https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6130 if you can help get involved.
