Hi,
I have tried Kwrite and Kate text editiors.
I like them.
Only feature I feel they are missing is to be able to auto save after a minute or so even if its a new unsaved buffer in the editor.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

You could use gvim and something like http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Auto-save_cur ... riodically

Which editors offers such a feature, and why do you need this? If you save a file, afterwards kate will keep track of changes.

I have not used this feature. Thought if an editor can support this one feature, I can use it as editor and also like sticky notes.

I will try your suggestion.
Thanks

A colleague just pointed one application out to me, which may be exactly what you're looking for: zim
Set it to autosave on exit, and it also autosaves documents on every change as there's a small database behind it.
It's also partly like a wiki as it allows for easy interlinks between documents and supports RichText.

It's perfect for such notes, try it ;)
