Hi,
I am trying to install in the harddrive and have /boot with the bootloader on an old 16M SD card.
I didnt want to touch the HD MBR.
The SD card is not showing up as part of the partition selection or in the local disk management or set up boot system.
If I do fdisk -l from the live DVD, it is showing up as another device.
Can someone please help me here?
Thanks

The SD card is 128MB and not 16MB.
The reason I want to do this is, I am trying to install in my work laptop with encryption and dont want to touch MBR.
By keeping it in the SDcard, I will be able to boot to Mageia if the sdcard is in and boot to decryption and then to Windows if the sdcard is not in the slot.
Thanks

Do you have the sd card inserted when you boot up, or only after you started the installation?

Thanks Doktor5000.
I tried both and it didn't show up.
Here is what I did for overcome the issue.
vvvvvvvvvvvv[SOLUTION]vvvvvvvvvvvvv
Inserted a USB drive and it was showing up as one of the hard drives in the installer.
I created a 100M ext4 partition in.
I pointed this partition to be /boot for the installation and used the same for GRUB.
After the installation is complete, I used dd command to copy everything from the USB to SD card.
I restarted the system removing the USB and the DVD.
I am in successfully and writing this reply.
I do have some other look and feel issue with Software Manager and Firefox. I will create another thread and mark this as solved.
