Hi,
So I've tried the CD live version of Mageia on my usb stick and I would like to install Mageia on a windows partition.
I already have 2 windows xp partitions as well as an Ubuntu one.
So in Mageia, I clicked on the icon on the desktop "Install on Hard Disk". When I had to choose between the 4 options:
1)Use existing partitions
2)Use the free space on a Microsoft Windows partition
3)Erase and use entire disk
4)Custom disk partitioning
I used option 2) because I wanted to use Mageia over a 28 Gb part of 1 of my 2 Windows partition (that particular windows partition had about 60 Gb free, out of 91 Gb in total). Then it said that I needed to reboot in order to continue, so I rebooted (apparently I had to remove the usb stick in order to reboot. I removed it for 5 seconds and then plugged it back so it could load Mageia on the start up). Once Mageia loaded, the proceedure of replacing a portion of one of my Windows partitions didn't continue on its own. So I decided to click again on "Install on hard Disk". When I tried to repeat the process I had just done, I now see that my Windows partition is about 26 Gb smaller than what it was before I rebooted!!! And it shows 2 grey partitions (meaning "Other")... Those were not there prior what I had just tried...
And I can't seem to replace those 2 greys partitions by Mageia (one is 12 Gb and the other is 14 Gb).
I don't know what to do now. How do I install Mageia without reducing more my windows partition? How do I get back my 28 Gb of space? (or 26?)
Thanks for any help.
