Annoying Konqueror behavior

Postby RVDowning » Jul 27th, '13, 02:05

If I select a couple of hundred files from one directory from a USB source and cut and paste them to another directory on my hard drive the pasted files are all selected. This makes it hard to open one of the files in Gwenview for example, because ALL the selected files will open. In the past the files at the destination would not be selected. Anything one can do about this?

Huh? After pasting them in the destination, just click somewhere between them, this will unselect them. Then open your file.

The copying takes a couple of minutes. Yes, I can click elsewhere and that will then deselect the selected items, but then the next item being copied is then selected, etc. Esentially with this release I have to wait for the copying to finish before selecting an item to do something with it, otherwise I will get more than just the one desired item.

You might want to ask about that upstream at KDE forums: http://forum.kde.org/
