Upgrade from Mandriva 2011 to Mageia 3

I'm a long-time Mandriva user, looking at upgrading to Mageia 3. I'm aware of the issues regarding upgrading to Mageia 2 and the rpm5 issue (from a thread back in January), but can't find anything about upgrading 2011 to Mageia 3. Is Mageia 3 using rpm5? Should I dual boot instead? Do a clean install except the Home directory?

If I should dual-boot, what should I be aware of in terms if issues with a shared Home directory and such settings as my Firefox and Opera bookmarks?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks!!

Mageia 3 does NOT use rpm5 and as far as I know there are no plans to move to rpm5 in the future. To my understanding, rpm5 is a fork of the rpm code and Mandriva is one of the few distros using it. If you want to move to Mageia at this point, a new install is really the only way to do it. I know that is probably not welcome news, but such is the situation. - George

Don't sweat it - I'm not upset. I'd rather go into the situation knowing what I have to do, rather than guessing. I appreciate the advice.
