Battery: 62% (charging)

AC Adapter: Not plugged in

Is my laptop sucking power directly from the ether?!

If so, could you give make and model so we can all get one ;)

Seriously though, for anybody to begin to help you you'll need to give more information.

Desktop in use, any other desktops installed, which battery notification, any other useful info

and maybe..

HP DV5T
3.8.13.4-desktop-1.mga3
acpi -b
Battery 0: Charging, 92%, rate information unavailable
No version of the battery monitor used in the system tray....

BTW - it has since corrected itself. With the battery charging, it now says that the AC adapter is plugged in.

Not a real issue, just thought it was a bit humorous.
No one died from this bug. :)
