Mageia kde with kwin windows manager

When I click on a link it goes to a tab but does not open a window
I have to click on the tab for it to open a window

This happened on links from all applications

Any suggested fix ??

I think it's the focus stealing prevention setting... you can create a custom rule for firefox:
- Right click the title bar -> Advanced -> Special Window Settings
- Go to the Workarounds tab and enable "Focus stealing prevention"
- In the combo-box in the middle select "Force"
- In the combo-box next to it select "None", then click OK

After this try clicking a link again and see if the firefox window is brought to the front or not.

IIUC:
- He clicks a link in an app, it should open in the default browser, firefox in this case
- The link is opened in a tab in firefox, but the firefox window itself isn't raised/brought to the front, instead its taskbar entry flashes (like when an app requires the user's attention)

The "when I open a link a new tab switch to it immediately" is pertinent only when middle-clicking links from inside firefox itself, if this option is enabled it means: open a new tab -> Switch to it immediately.
