MSEC discover existing a lot of world writable, empty subdir in /var/tmp. What to do with such dirs ? Remove, chmod or so?
Linux is like wigwam. No Windows, no Gates but Apache inside

WARNING ! The administrator has the right to refuse to install WINDOWS, invoking the conscience clause

Or just don't care?
/var/tmp is world-writable on almost any *nix system. What you do with them is your decision. I'd just leave them alone.
What reason do you have to change their permissions?

Caution: Hot, bubbling magic inside. May explode or cook your kittens!
