[SOLVED] Firefox 17 Won't Install Gnome Extensions

But Web will. When will the repositories update to Firefox 22?

Also, the System-Monitor extension will not open its preferences dialog.
But it works fine on Fedora 19 on this same system. ???

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What is Web?
The repositories won't update to Firefox 22, nor any other version outside the ESR branch, please check https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_2_Rel ... il_clients

Are you using Fedora 19 with the same /home partition as Mageia? What media did you use to install Mageia?

Apart from that, as a general hint and golden rule: Please only one problem per thread ;)

Doktor5000: Thank you for your kind response.

Web is the Gnome browser that is included in the standard Mageia 3 install. I assume that
it is an updated version of Epiphany. For whatever reason, browsing to extensions.gnome.org
with Web allows me to install extensions. Browsing to the same site with Firefox 17 takes me
there, but the selections are all greyed out and the install dialog will not open. I'm again of the
belief that this is a problem with Firefox and not Mageia; hence my question. There may be
other sites incompatible with Firefox 17, but this one showed up quickly as I tried to
customize my install.

I'll open a second post for the other issue as you suggest; my apologies.

Doktor5000: Ironically, the very next Mageia update fixed the problem, and Firefox now works
on the extensions site. You do quick work!
