Login & Gnome Extensions Issues

I had M3 running and running quite well when the hard drive decided to go to that great
recycling center in the sky. I replaced it and reinstalled, and now things aren't running
as well.

First, the system automatically logs me in even though I've selected "off" for autologin
in system settings/user accounts.

Second, it no longer gives me the option of selecting gnome, gnome classic, etc.at
login.

Third, I can't get the gnome extensions site to work. All the extensions are greyed out,
and if I click on one, the site tries to load "user reviews" until it times out. No slide
switch is shown. But the site works fine on Fedora 19 on this same computer, so it's
not hardware nor the internet link.

I did update the system after install, and the software installation tool seems to work.
My browser is Firefox 17, and I'm running the 64 bit version of M3. I used the same
DVD that I used originally and successfully to install the system on this selfsame
computer.

I suspect a problem with gdm, but don't know what to do about it. Does anyone have
any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
