Problems enabling 3D effects

Hello,

I am running Mageia 3 with KDE.
I went into the MCC to enable 3D effects as was prompted to install the Compiz Fusion packages.
After installation, there was a message stating "Must logout and log back in for changes to take effect".
So I logged out but I can no longer log back in.
After entering username and password, a window opens with selections for either "No 3D Effects" or "Compiz Fusion".
Regardless of my choice, after clicking the "OK" button I next get the popup window stating "Must logout and log back in for changes to take effect".
At this window, regardless of whether I click "OK" or "Cancel" I am taken back to the login window.
So I am stuck in this loop that repeats over and over no matter what choices I make and cannot get beyond the login window into the desktop.
:cry: Please advise.

Thank You, Jose

IIRC that is only a failsafe session to enable/disable compiz, so it works as expected.
Just select your normal desktop session and login.

Apart from that, i'd recommed disabling compiz and using the desktop effects integrated within KDE.
systemsettings -> desktop effects

For others having similar problems, would you be so kind to mention how exactly?

Also please mark the thread accordingly by editing the topic of the first post and prefix it by [SOLVED], thanks
