I tried to install ClamAv through MCC but I get this error below. So does this mean by root is full? I looked under dolphin and it says root is 0 free. The root partition is 12gb. Where do I start to find out where all my gbs went to? I only use this for PC for normal desktop stuff, all installed through MCC. Thanks Roy

run as root will display the sizes of the 25 largest directories in /. This may give you a hint as to what the problem is.
ncdu (in the core repo) is a useful utility for this sort of troubleshooting.

Hi I changed it to look at 250 dir. It comes to a total 31,000,580(31gb) and I have a 12,000,000 (12gb) / partition. I am confused.

So I guess I need to remove or increase the size of the partition. 1 program I see is stellarium that is using a lot of space. I would have thought these would be under the user. Maybe I can uninstall it and try reinstalling again? I always feel adjusting partitions now is subject of screwing the system.

Hum, df shows 12GB used while du only shows 6.5GB used.
Someone/anyone with more knowledge than me will have to step in.

Hi Thanks for all the help. I have uninstalled some programs so it has solved this problem but I will start another post on what is the best way to increase the size of root as 12gb is too small, I think 25gb will be better for me. Cheers Roy
