I'm using the flavour of Firefox that came with the distributio, which is 17.0.6, and the video is the BBC news Comes up with the video key in the BBC news intro page) Now I've already done this twice over.
First, on finding that flash did not work, I installed "flash-player-plugin - Flash Player plugin for browsers" and "flash-player-plugin-kde - Flash Player KDE settings module". from Software Management in the Mageia Control Centre. Flash still did not work. I then accepted the suggestion in Firefox, to install Flash Player from Adobe. In installing this, it was indicated that the two earlier installs would have to be removed. Accepted this, and the Adobe version was installed. Flash still did not work. Software Management now indicates that "flash-plugin - Adobe Flash Player 11.2" is installed..
I built the two desktop machins six or seven years ago, and find that every year, on update time (and sometimes in-between) I go through the same frustrating process of getting flash to work on 64 bit machines. I'm seriously considering abandoning 64 bit and running the machines as 32 bit. Which seems a waste. But it will give me flash and also the Medusa CAD package, which I posted about (wrongly, apologies) in networking.
There's nothing relating to a flash plugin in Tools/Add-ons/plugins, by the way. If there's any way of adding, it's not obvious to me.. It's certainly not in the list of plugins available in Get add-ons/ Browse all add-ons
