I changed the curser to a big one months ago, because I kept loosing it. When I Upgraded to 3 I got faults. The faults were drop down boxes were illegible, Scrolling control on my wheel mouse was Jerky and most importantly whenever I clicked an Icon it took an age to boot the program. But now I've changed it back to a resolution dependant curser the faults have gone away.
The whole distribution doesn't seem as quick:One flew, two was slower three would be unusable if I can't sort the bug.

How did you upgrade?
If you upgraded with an installation DVD you need to run urpmi --auto-update in a terminal as root to finish the upgrade process.

I never knew that! Although I've only tested for a few moments it seems a lot better. Thanks.
I cannot help wondering why those 51 in my case files didn't install on the disk?

Ok, so you think it fixed it?
The DVD only upgrades the packages it contains...the command makes it also upgrade packages that are only in the repositories.
It was in the notes somewhere...I'm not a wizard or anything but I read all I could find before I upgraded mine.

As I said it's a lot better, but it's generally better now I've done the command line update, the base distro seems to works fine. Specialist programs not so much. I administer a web-sit on a domain I own. So I continually edit the content with KompoZer that still shows the faults.
I found the on-line update didn't work for me.
Disto developers have a really hard job all the faults I've got probably don't exist on different kit.

As for your PM, would you be so kind to please clearly describe the current problem you have with simple words, so people know which problem you're actually facing currently?
