[SOLVED] Mageia 2 KDE4 Screen Saver

Postby lewisforlife » May 22nd, '13, 17:12

This is probably an easy problem to solve, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the screen saver. I looked at other posts on this forum that said to go here:

From Application Launcher Menu -> Tools -> Sytems Tools -> System Settings -> Display and Monitor -> Screen Saver.

The issue is I don't even have "System Settings" under "System Tools." Also, I can't find any "Display and Monitor" setting either. Do I need to install some KDE component that I am missing? Thanks.

In the Run Command enter:
Code: Select all
systemsettings

System Settings is in the kdebase4-workspace package. There is usually a link in the panel (a crossed screw-driver and spanner).

running "systemsettings" worked. I will just create a shortcut and throw it in the menu. Thanks.

**edit: and I just noticed the screw driver icon in the panel.

It's also in the menu -> Tools -> System Tools -> System settings
