help us to help you reminder again

can i please bring to peoples attention the help us to help your reminder.

one of the subjects i covered was

DONT BE THE FIRST TO RUSH OUT AND UPGRADE AFTER A NEW RELEASE.

sorry if you feel im shouting im not, im labeling the point.

let some of the more expirienced people iron out some of the issues first
otherwise you may be left without a solution until someone does.

grab and old PC and install on that and see how it is.

and second USE CLONEZILLA BEFORE YOU DO AS RELYING ON DOWNGRADES IS FOOLHARDY.

with these two things in mind, i do hope your expirience is a happy one.

I waited a couple of days to upgrade because of storms. I figured if two days passed the forum would be flooded with complaints and it isn't.

I think most upgrades are going pretty smoothly...still good advice. If you don't know how to fix it, wait.

I have one problem that I think is KDE 4.10 specific. Kmail not getting mail on startup.

There may be a couple other quirks but they are not show stoppers.

agreed it looks , to all intents and purposes like its a hell of alot better than the early days of mga2

but that does not help those who cant get their wifi going, hence a reminder about a backup plan, and hold fire,

mga 2 is a great OS, that has little reason to rush out and replace.
